Phu Chaisai Mountain Resort & Spa in Chiang Rai

 

 

Upon visiting her family’s chunk of property in Chiang Rai nine yrs ago, she fell excited about the picturesque Doi Mae Salong in the middle of a breathtaking take a look at the valley below. However, the concept of transforming pretty much everything right into a hotel was not born until Amnuay Kriangkrai, her husband, jokingly suggested when she was going to continue to build numerous cottages, then she should transform it into a hotel…

 

…and so came the birth of Phu Chaisai Mountain Resort & Spa.

 

The name “Phu Chaisai” can be a dedication to M.L. Sudavdee’s beloved mother, Mrs. Chaisai Chakrabandhu. “My mum wished to work with this piece of land like a area for meditiation, and so i fulfilled her dream.

 

Phu Chaisai aims being an environmentally-friendly and self-sufficient resort. With M.L. Sudavdee’s creative concepts, the resort is now past the green concept starting with design, construction, and interior d?cor to even creating a green life of cultivating a tea plantation, gardening, herbs and fruit farm for all our own cuisine selection. Our h2o undergoes a Reverse Osmosis (RO) process – a highly recognized water purification system, guaranteeing safe consumption.

 

Phu Chaisai Resort & Spa also supports the neighborhood community by using local villagers and hill tribes. By training the neighborhood staff with hospitality, culinary, and service skills; Phu Chaisai not only gives to the encompassing community but guests can expect for a warm welcome and pleasant follow a little Thailand’s northern tradition.

 

 

 

  

 

During the continuing development of Phu Chaisai, bamboo was chosen as being the main preference of cloth but not only because sustainability and abundance among our bamboo forest hills, but M.L. Sudavdee also recognized that bamboo cottages would merge harmoniously while using surroundings. She also wanted to utilize and lengthen the qualities she discovered in bamboo for instance its rigor strength yet flexibility being shaped of any type. Thus, bamboo was an excellent material for M.L. Sudavdee's creativity in creating her idyllic resort.

 

Local northern leaves called "Tong Teung" has been a strategic and aesthetic materials used in construction of Phu Chaisai's thatched rooftops the way it preserves the thriving forest and minimizes tree-felling, yet all at once maintains the area's scenic beauty.

 

After a renovation during 2006, a new design concept using red clay was created for some newer cottages and bamboo and "Tong Teung" continuing M.L. Sudavdee's vision of going green and remaining local during construction.
